The Board Meeting

Fins for kids

Here’s your chance to make a difference in someone’s life.

A fun initiative of The Board Meeting is the FINS FOR KIDS program, which simply asks pro surfers worldwide [current and past], board makers and legends to personally sign a fin and send it to us. The program was kicked off in July 2014 with Simon Anderson, Bob Cooper and Hayden Kenny signing up first.

It doesn’t need to be a new fin; used ones and old school fins are fine, especially if they’ve been used in a special event. It’s also a good way to get your fin sponsor some more exposure, so get them onboard as well.

Just sign them [with your name, slogan, location or date if you want] and post them to us. If you’re worried about them getting damaged in the mail simply wrap them in a signed rashie from your last event or a pair of your favorite boardies! We can auction those too.

All the fins we receive will be auctioned at our Annual Surf Event in November each year and everyone who donates one [you can send more if you want] will appear on our website.

All proceeds go directly to the families of local kids with severe disabilities who simply cannot get financial assistance elsewhere.

Who’s helped so far?

End of an era

After 20 years of fundraising to help local families with disabled kids, our Trustee has retired, requiring the charity to close. Thank you so much for your support and for helping make our charity the success it was.
