2017 Sunshine Coast Surf Event

November 10 and 11, Kawana Beach

The event, which started in 2005 is run in early November each year and draws on the enthusiasm and generosity of the Surfing and Business communities to participate in an amateur surfing competition where the emphasis is on fun. It is also a great opportunity for surfers to get together in the water, have a good time and broaden their local business contacts. 36 corporate teams of four surfers take to the water in heats to battle it out with a special points scoring system that slightly favours “more mature” surfers. Each team must have at least one “Malibu” or longboard. The comp is open to young and old, amateur and pro, trade and professional. Entry cost: $500.00 for team of 4 – includes t-shirts, rashies, caps, magazines and other assorted merchandise. Also included are drinks vouchers for both registration night and post-comp celebration. Event Venue:

To be held at Kawana Beach (with alternative site at Maroochydore Beach if conditions require)

Event Date: Competition from 6.00am Saturday 11th November

Entries close: Thursday 9th November

Registration: Friday 10th November – All teams to register, competitors’ presentation and drinks from 5.00-7.00 pm at the Kawana Surf Life Saving Club.

Competition: Saturday 11th November – from 6.00am until midday

Prize ceremony & Auction: Saturday 11th November – Kawana Surf Club from midday until 4pm

These details assist The Board Meeting in assuring we cater for your team members and assure that the event runs smoothly.

The Payment Form is available here, This form allows you to register your team at the cost of $500, this money goes completely to our beneficiaries.  Registration also includes t-shirts, rashies, caps, magazines and other assorted merchandise. Donations

Donations (voluntary): The organizers welcome donations from individuals and businesses wishing to support our efforts without participating in the contest. Recognition and other exposure opportunities are available in return for your generous support. Donate onlineDonate online or send us a cheque. Donations of memorabilia and prizes for the surf memorabilia auction can also be made, as it is a great avenue for exposure within the surfing business community.
